I recently was asked to review a brand new book called, Under the Table: Saucy Tales from Culinary School written by Katherine Darling. If you're a fan of books that touch on the lives of chefs or even the popular reality tv series on Bravo, Top Chef, you'll definitely enjoy this book! I loved reading through Katherine Darling's experience in culinary school and it offers some insight about a whole new culture of aspiring chefs and bakers. It's a great read that I encourage any foodie out there to pick up! Here is how senior publicist, Kim Curtin, of Simon & Schuster describes the book...
Katherine Darling enrolled as a student at the legendary French Culinary Institute expecting to learn the mysterious secrets of French cooking. But as she soon learned, culinary school is no place for romantics - it's a cut-throat, raunchy, challenging world where the smallest mistake can bring on culinary catastrophe, or the humblest ingredients can create something heavenly.
This is a hot-off-the-press book which recently came out on April 14, 2009 and I would love for one of my readers to enjoy a brand new copy!
