Toronto…

Probably all of you know by now that I am Canadian and come from a city just outside (about 10 minutes) of Toronto.  I wasn’t able to make it up there last year and it hit me really hard so I was determined to make it up there for my Brother-in-Law’s and sister’s birthday this year…

We hung out with dogs and family…

Went to the beach on a very hot and hazy day…

Swam in Marlene’s pool on a very hot and sunny day…

Played at the Ontario Science Center (see how tall and thin we are?)…

And we ate, oh did we eat…

Brownies!

About a month or so ago I won a Pesto Challenge, with my Arugula Pesto and Wild Mushroom pizza, that was hosted by my friend Jo of The Adventures of Kitchen Girl and Yummr. The prize for the contest was 5 pounds of Barilla Pasta! Now that was exciting enough but I got the box the other day and as most of you know I have made myself a little nutty the past couple of days so I never got around to opening it (wayyyy too busy crying you know-what a DA* I am some times). Anyway I opened it yesterday afternoon and not only did they send me 5 boxes of Barilla but they sent me letter cutouts YUMR!!! How fun is that.

During the day yesterday I was going to make the girls some cookies but in my bleary eyed state (you know from crying all the day before-DA* me!) I opted to make them brownies from a box with some add ins to make them better. I dumped in some nuts, chocolate chips and some cookies that I had in the freezer from my Gourmet cookie event. They turned out delicious and were even more fun once I used the letter cutouts to spell YUM!!!

Conor and Dad Relax on Saturday Morning

It was kind of warm today so we decided against anything too strenuous. And we still have the pool to look forward to tonight so Conor and Dad kicked around down town and relaxed. After stopping off at my office parking lot we headed over to Read's for some refreshments and sat outdoors watching the world go by.

Conor Enjoys Saturday Morning With Dad

Conor and Dad didn't wait for Father's Day. We got out together early this morning walking on the trail, down to the river for some adventure, and some fun at the "Circle Place". There was also time for some gum ball treats.

Autism Fun - Conor and Dad at the Circle Place

After a long tough winter it is no problem getting Conor outdoors for a walk, especially if we go to "the circle place", the Lawrence Amphitheatre in Nashwaaksis. The Saint John River has flooded this spring and we have to take a different route. Once there Conor loves to walk around the rings and circle at "the circle place". After Conor relaxes with a watermelon treat.
