Heat Warning? Who Cares? Conor Has Some Circle Place Fun While He Waits For Mom!

Conor helped out again with the groceries at the local Superstore today. While we waited for Mom to proceed through the checkout Conor and Dad went out doors for fresh air even though there was a heat warning on for Fredericton today and some establishments closed mid afternoon.  The heat didn't bother Conor though as we headed to the nearby Lawrence Amphitheatre, Conor's "Circle Place", where he stretched his legs on the cement semi circles of the Amphitheatre.

River Rising Tall Guy Walking

Mom, Dad and Tall Guy (Conor) were up for our early morning trail walk to the Superstore.  We  live near the St. John River which has been rising.  You can see the waters up near the trail and bridges in the pictures.  But the trail is still dry and clear and we headed out.  Conor looked forward to one of his usual treats -  "Baby" Birthday Cakes at the Superstore.

When we arrived the cakes were just fresh out of the oven and had no icing on them so we went for a walk over to the nearby Circle Place where Conor waited patiently.  When we returned the icing was still being done but one was all ready for Conor.  The lady at the counter did it up for him right away. (It isn't Conor's birthday he just likes the small "Baby" Birthday cakes).  We don't give lectures to the people at the Superstore, or anyhwere else in Fredericton, about autism acceptance.  Conor has always been well treated by the good people of Fredericton. And we appreciate it.

A Nice Afternoon Trail Walk

The temperature is starting to cool a bit and turn toward early autumn after an unusual summer. With the cooler morning air Conor put on a Dad shirt over his shirt for some extra warmth. And we headed out on the trail this afternoon for a nice walk. My shirt seems to fit Conor a bit better around the belly than it does me. Hmmmm.

The Grey Summer Gives Conor A Break

It has been a grey summer with unrelenting cloud and rain.

Today started with more of the same and Conor relaxed with Dad's laptop and headphones. But the clouds let up a bit with the sun and blue sky breaking through at times. Conor was a bit reluctant to head out for a trail walk being out of the routine. With the steady bad weather there have been few good opportunities for outings. I was able to coax Conor back out on the trail though and he enjoyed the walk.

Conor Has Some Circle Place Fun

The walking trail was flooded over but Main Street was high and dry so Conor and Dad headed to the Lawrence Amphitheatre on the Nashwaaksis Commons for some "Circle Place" fun. After a long winter and an incredible growth spurt Conor's balance needed a little work but it didn't take long.

Walking Trail Flooded This Weekend

Couldn't do much trail walking with Conor this weekend. The Fredericton North Riverfront Trail was flooded over in many areas. Still, if this is all we get for flooding this year ... I'm not complaining.
