What would the holidays be without holiday baking? Who doesnt love a cookie or two? Well, today I hosted a cooking class dedicated to all cookie lovers! In this class we prepared 3 types of cookies including a "custom" drop cookie, sugar cut out cookie, and a fudge crinkle cookie. I had about 11 folks attend and it definitely was a perfect event for a slushy, wet Sunday.
I sent everyone off with 3 holiday buckets of their cookie doughs along with a medium cookie scoop to continue the cookie craze at home! Here are pics from the event, along with the recipes for the cookie doughs that we worked with:

As I always do for my cooking class events, I make a lunch for everyone. Today, I served up various kinds of panini sandwiches and 2 kinds of soup. Last night I made a Cream of Turkey, Rice & Mushroom soup. It was so good, I made another batch today. In addition to that, I made my Zuppa Toscana soup.

For the paninis, I offered ham & gouda, ham & swiss, pepperoni, mozzarella & basil, marinara, basil & mozzarella, and a chicken, spinach & brie.... all on buttered italian pane.

Since everyone took cookie doughs home, I wanted to make sure they had a chance to try the cookies themselves. So I baked some of the dough. They were all well received!
