Ieri sera siamo stati a cena da Dierre 24 usufruendo di un deal Groupon particolarmente vantaggioso (per due persone meno di venti euro!) e prenotando qualche giorno prima tramite l'interfaccia MyTable.In mattinata è persino arrivato per mail il promemoria, da parte di MyTable, per ricordarci dell'avvenuta prenotazione per la sera del deal di Groupon!
Il locale si trova in un'area pedonale piacevole tra Piazza Venezia e Piazza Hortis, con molti tavoli sia all'aperto che all'interno. Ieri sera era praticamente al completo (fortuna che avevamo prenotato!) e la serata particolarmente calda, ma ci avevano riservato un tavolo all'esterno, per cui ci siamo accomodati dietro indicazione di un gentilissimo cameriere, che ci ha portato subito le "bollicine di benvenuto" e l'acqua.
Last night we went to dinner at Dierre 24 using a particularly advantageous Groupon deal (the bill for two people was less than 20 euros). We booked a few days ahead with MyTable.
That morning I even received an email from MyTable reminding me of my reservation for that evening with the Groupon deal! The restaurant is in a pedestrianized zone between Piazza Venezia and Piazza Hortis in Trieste, with many tables both inside and outside. Last night the restaurant was practically packed (luckily we had booked ahead of time) and the evening was especially warm, but they held an outside table for us. We were seated by a very courteous waiter who immediately brought us "welcome bubbles" and water.

As specified with our deal, we were served an appetizer that consisted of a platter of cured meats, prosciutto, cheeses, olives, and vegetables fried in batter. I found the cauliflower to be particularly pleasant, soft and very flavorful. Next we were served the "all you can eat" pizzas, chosen from the menu: we chose the Regina Margherita with buffalo milk mozzarella and a prosciutto pizza. Both had perfectly leavened dough. They were well cooked and delicious (the only thing missing, which would have made my Margherita perfect, was the classic basil leaf on top).
There was quite a range of pizza choices: the quattro stagioni ("four seasons"), divided into four sections of mushrooms, ham, artichokes, and olives; the capricciosa, topped with artichokes, mushrooms, ham, and olives; the vegetarian; the mushroom pizza; the prosciutto and mozzarella; the summer pizza, with cherry tomatoes, rocket, and Parmesan cheese shavings; the "rebecchino dierre" house pizza with prosciutto, Parmesan shavings, pepper, olives, and basil, and many more. We chose beer to drink with our pizzas, and because it was so hot we also asked for a glass of ice!

Avremmo potuto scegliere altre pizze seguendo la forma del coupon "All you can eat", ma eravamo decisamente sazi e ci hanno quindi portato una pannacotta ed un sorbetto alla mela, particolarmente rinfrescante! Alla prossima con Dierre24 e grazie Groupon!
According to our Groupon deal, we could have chosen other pizzas thanks to the "all you can eat" formula, but we were really full. They brought us our desserts: a pannacotta (cooked cream pudding) and an apple sorbet, which was really refreshing! See you next time Dierre 24 and thanks Groupon!
