Jollibee (with its sister companies) is the first retailer pushing for fast adoption of NFC technology in the Philippines.
The HappyPlus Card is basically a reloadable debit card powered by an NFC chip.

NFC stands for “Near Field Communication” is a set of standards for smartphones and similar devices to establish radio communication with each other by touching them together or bringing them into close proximity, usually no more than a few centimeters. Present and anticipated applications include contactless transactions, data exchange, and simplified setup Communication is also possible between an NFC device and an unpowered NFC chip.
The HappyPlus Card is a reloadable card that works with Jollibee, Chowking, Greenwich, Red Ribbon and Mang Inasal(coming soon).
The service will be available starting January 23 2012. The card itself will cost PHP 100.00 and will enable rewards points to accumulate in any of fastfood branches mentioned.
